Check out these tips for success and put them into action in 2025!

Top Tips From Our Top Brokers

Number 1 with flexing arm muscle icon
Flex your relationships.
Reach out to the people you already know! Think about groups that may organize international trips, like sports groups, over-55 communities, volunteer organizations, cultural or historical societies, environmental groups, alumni associations from college and high school…(the list goes on and on). Even if you don’t directly belong to these groups, you may have a contact who does and can connect you.
Number 2 with chat bubbles icon
Keep the communication going.
Emailing customers consistently keeps your name and services top of mind. Your emails don’t have to be long or complicated—just remind customers you’re there to help and let them know about services they might need (like travel medical insurance!). Of course, you don’t want to email too much. Fellow brokers recommend using our GeoBlue® prepared templates to reach out to your customers once a quarter. Templates can be found on Agent Hub under the Marketing section.
Number 3 with electric plug icon
Plug us in.
Speaking of our prepared templates…we make it easy for you by providing content you can use in newsletters, social media posts and emails. Check Agent Hub for content you can “plug and play” into your communications. Also check our broker newsletter Resource Corner section (featured every other month) for content you can quickly customize and send.

Share your PURLs.
Put your PURLs everywhere you can! In your email signature and CRMs. In all marketing materials. On your agency website. It’s an easy step that can help ensure your commissions are accurate and timely. Also, here’s a great tip: on your website, when you mention “travel insurance” or “travel medical insurance,” make those terms hyperlinks to your PURLs. You can never have too many PURLs. Your PURLs can be found on Agent Hub. But to get you started, click on the below.

Number 5 with global brain icon
Think international all year long.
Whenever you’re talking with customers, remember to talk about international coverage. Bring it up throughout the year, whether you’re helping them with their domestic renewal or medical annual enrollment. You never know when your customers or their family members may be making plans to travel abroad.
