Rate and Plan Changes
New rates and benefits for GeoBlue short-term plans are here. Beginning today, members purchasing one of our Voyager or Trekker plans can take advantage of enhanced benefits and expanded age limits.
Additionally, to ensure members receive the care and services they need, we will cover COVID-19 testing and treatment for our single trip Voyager plans. COVID-19 coverage is available for all individuals 95 years and younger and covers up to $1 million in claims. All Voyager plans also include post-departure trip interruption up to $500 to provide the peace of mind and protection needed when members travel internationally.
Multi-trip Trekker plans will cover COVID-19 testing only. Coverage includes the cost of the COVID-19 test, physician/doctor consultation fee and associated costs related to administering the COVID-19 test. Individuals looking to purchase an annual plan with COVID-19 medical coverage should consider our long-term expat plans, which include comprehensive worldwide benefits like preventive care, prescription medication and an impressive array of online and mobile tools to help them identify, access and pay for quality healthcare all around the world.
Voyager plan changes include:
- Increased the age limit to 95 or younger
- Coverage of COVID-19 testing and treatment, at no additional cost above the standard rate increase
- Increased scuba and skiing limit from $10,000 to $25,000 for Voyager Choice
- Increased dental coverage to $300 (injury) and $250 (relief of pain) for Voyager Essential
- Voyager plans will see a 5% rate increase
Trekker plan changes include:
Trekker Choice
- Increased the age limit to 95* or younger
- Increased deductible from $50 to $100
- Increased dental coverage to $300 (injury) and $300 (relief of pain)
- Increased medical limit from $250,000 to $1,000,000*
- Increased scuba and skiing limit from $10,000 to $25,000
- New! Baggage protection of $100/bag or personal effect
- Trekker Choice will not see any rate increase
Trekker Essential
- Increased the age limit to 95* or younger
- Increased deductible from $50 to $200
- Increased medical limit from $50,000 to $500,000
- Trekker Essential will see a 13% rate increase
*Individuals aged over 70+ still have a limited benefit (currently $100,000)

In addition to these plan changes, we’re pleased to announce that also beginning today, GeoBlue will sell short-term plans to South Dakota residents.
