 What a year 2022 has been! Our industry endured so many changes this year, from shifting country rules surrounding travel to staff shortages to inflation…it’s been quite an uncertain time. We cannot thank you enough for your resiliency, flexibility and commitment to both us and your customers.
I’m proud to say that we’ve emerged from this tumultuous time stronger than ever. Although travel has not fully rebounded to pre-pandemic numbers, our sales are currently more than 50% higher than 2019. In fact, thanks to you, we hit record numbers. You’ve helped customers understand the necessity of our offerings as they venture back into the world of travel.
We believe a big part of keeping up with your customers’ needs is simplifying the international healthcare experience. To help connect members to their coverage, GeoBlue provides industry-leading digital tools such as our top-rated app, and we are unique in offering telemedicine on all plans. We’re here to support you in helping your customers take advantage of these tools.
Also, we’re proud to announce the addition of Simon Jackson, Chief Growth Officer, to our organization. Simon brings a wealth of international experiences and connections to GeoBlue and he will help us drive additional growth in 2023 and beyond. We’re delighted to have him on board.
As I reflect back on the year, I am grateful for your partnership and trust during an unprecedented time. As I look forward to 2023, I am excited to see what else is possible when we focus on global health insurance powered by technology and personalized by people.
