Experiencing an active medical emergency
- Your clients should go to the nearest physician or hospital. Then they should call or email:

Finding a medical provider
- Outside the U.S.: Both short-term and long-term customers can find a provider through the member site or mobile app. Note that your clients may visit any provider, as there is no out-of-network penalty. Contracted providers are required to accept Direct Pay; however, we can often arrange Direct Pay with any provider if we are contacted at least 48 hours prior to the appointment.
- Inside the U.S.: Domestically our long-term plans work much like any other health insurance. Your clients can locate a provider at the Blue Cross® Blue Shield® website or through the mobile app. When searching, they should select their plan as BlueCard PPO/EPO. Note that U.S. coverage is available as a rider on GeoBlue Xplorer® Essential plans.
Accessing dental and vision coverage (Available as a rider on GeoBlue Xplorer and GeoBlue Navigator® plans)
- Your clients can locate providers and submit claims through the member site or mobile app.
Using prescription benefits
- Outside the U.S.: Mail-order pharmacy coverage is available through Expatriate Prescription Services. Or your clients can opt to pay for their prescription and submit a claim form for reimbursement.
- Inside the U.S.: Your clients can locate a participating pharmacy at Universal Rx™. Clients with GeoBlue Xplorer Premier and GeoBlue Navigator plans can simply present their ID card to the pharmacy. Clients covered by GeoBlue Xplorer Essential plans can pay for their prescription and submit a claim form for reimbursement.
