Check Fraud Alert

GeoBlue is aware that someone or a group of individuals are circulating fraudulent correspondence containing counterfeit checks appearing to be from our parent company and related affiliates including “Worldwide Insurance Services,” “WIS,” “Highway to Health,” “HTH,” or a similar name. The counterfeit checks may by accompanied by a letter that the recipient has won a lottery, sweepstakes, drawing or similar event or in connection with a non-existent job offer.

We are not affiliated and have no relationship with the individuals or group(s) committing this fraudulent activity. These checks and letters are part of a scheme designed to victimize those who receive them. They are not real checks, and you should not attempt to cash them.

If you receive a check purporting to be from GeoBlue or one of our related affiliates and you have not done any business with us that would explain the check, you should not cash the check. We encourage you to report the incident to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC)'s Consumer Help Line at 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357) or online at www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov.

You may also send a picture of the check, envelope and any correspondence that accompanied the check to SIU@geo-blue.com so that we may forward this onto our Fraud Department.

If you believe you were a victim of this scam, we encourage you to report this incident immediately to the following agencies:

  • The U.S. Postal Inspection Service at www.uspis.gov (if you received the check in the mail)
